Baseball Recap: Hesperia Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hesperia can now relate to. They came up short against the Rio Mesa Spartans on Thursday, falling 6-0. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Rio Mesa, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-10.

Hesperia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rio Mesa, they will face off against Claremont at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolfpack's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
