Super Essex - Colonial recap December 3, 2013

Weequahic added to the longest winning streak in Super Essex - Colonial this week by beating Shabazz, 27-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Indians.

Weequahic took down the Bulldogs 27-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kedar Clarke ran for 114 yards during the win.

Brian Johnson-Logan's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Clarke chipped in 114 yards.

Clarke provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Indians defeated Shabazz.

Clarke was the best running back in the league this week. Al-Raekwon Zigler-Woodson also contributed to the rushing game with 80 yards on the ground.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Cedar Grove's Joe Slattery and Paul Rufo have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Slattery has thrown for 2,569 yards this season, while Rufo has 47 catches for 1,007 yards. Weequahic's Alkadair Ports leads the league in rushing yards with 1,125.

So far this year, he has acheived 40 catches for 981 yards.

The Indians made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,399 from 1,540. The improvement was the result of a 27-0 victory over Darnell Grant's team last week.
