Softball Recap: Cave Spring Knights vs. William Byrd Terriers

While Cave Spring's victory against William Byrd wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Terriers 5-4 on Wednesday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Terriers, too.

Caitlyn Karnes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
