Baseball Recap: Hampton Takes a Loss

Hampton managed to slip by West Greene the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 10-3 to the Buffaloes on Monday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buffaloes earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Cade Nelson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hampton dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for West Greene, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Hampton will square off against University School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Greene, they will challenge Johnson County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
