Baseball Recap: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Dedham Marauders

Bellingham extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-5 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dedham Marauders. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Payton Young spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
