Basketball Recap: Oconto Falls Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Oconto Falls extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from JJ Pytleski. The Panthers secured a 52-46 W over the Waupaca Comets on Thursday with plenty of help from Pytleski, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Jameson Beaman was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Oconto Falls' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Waupaca, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oconto Falls is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Marinette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waupaca, they will square off against Fox Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
