Recap: Dougherty Trojans vs. Crisp County Cougars
Make it eight blowout wins for the Dougherty Trojans this season. They blew past Crisp County, posting a 66-28 win at home. The victory was just what Dougherty needed coming off of a 88-56 loss in their prior game.
It was another big night for Jatiana Chambers, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Teaylia Hawkins, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Dougherty's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Crisp County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.
Dougherty will head out on the road to challenge Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crisp County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thomasville at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. Thomasville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
