Basketball Recap: Western Brown Comes Up Short

Western Brown was the 64-53 winner over Clinton-Massie when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Western Brown Broncos fell 58-50 to the Clinton-Massie Falcons on Friday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clinton-Massie found their leader in freshman Baron Phipps, who went 6 of 8 en route to 15 points along with four blocks and three steals. Phipps continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Cale Wilson was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points.

Western Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Clinton-Massie, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-11.

Western Brown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 78-49 loss against Turpin on the 1st. Clinton-Massie has also already played their next contest (against Clermont Northeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
