Recap: Oskaloosa Bears vs. McLouth Bulldogs
The Oskaloosa Bears came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against McLouth by a score of 59-49 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oskaloosa also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Oskaloosa was led to victory by Derrick Harvey and Gunner Rockhold. Harvey scored eight points along with five rebounds, while Rockhold scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rockhold has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Richie Rockhold, who scored ten points.
The victory got Oskaloosa back to even at 8-8. As for McLouth, they dropped their record down to 4-12-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Oskaloosa will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jefferson County North at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Oskaloosa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for McLouth, they will head out on the road to take on Atchison County on Tuesday. Atchison County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
