Soccer Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hopewell lost against Garinger back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Titans came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Hopewell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Garinger are ranked 35th).

Hopewell's goal came courtesy of Ethan Hicks, who's now up to two this season.

Hopewell's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for Garinger, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hopewell is set to take on their familiar foe West Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Garinger will face off against rival South Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
