Recap: Jackson-Reed Tigers vs. Whitney Young Dolphins
The Jackson-Reed Tigers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 70-58 victory over Whitney Young. Given Jackson-Reed's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in District of Columbia, while Whitney Young is ranked 204th in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jayden Fort, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Scottie Hubbard , who scored 9 points.
Jackson-Reed's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whitney Young, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Jackson-Reed will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against Gonzaga at 5:45 p.m. on December 10th. Gonzaga has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 326 points over their last four contests. As for Whitney Young, they will face off against Georgetown Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
