Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Jaycee Remus paced Lakeside's offense, picking up six kills. Remus really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Kaylee Otte controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Lakeside has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Logan/Palco on the 27th. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. John's/Tipton Catholic on the 27th.
