Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Jaycee Remus paced Lakeside's offense, picking up six kills. Remus really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Kaylee Otte controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Sylvan-Lucas, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Logan/Palco on the 27th. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. John's/Tipton Catholic on the 27th.
