Alamogordo faced Mayfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Trojans 11-2. The matchup marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Alamogordo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mayfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alamogordo will host Las Cruces at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldawgs have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
