Basketball Recap: Florence Christian Takes a Loss

Florence Christian lost against Laurence Manning Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Florence Christian Eagles fell just short of the Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats by a score of 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since December 27, 2023.

Despite the loss, Florence Christian still got an impressive performance from Taylor Greene, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 25 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Parker, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Florence Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Florence Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-46 win against Carolina Academy on the 10th. As for Laurence Manning Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-38 defeat against Hammond on the 10th.
