Softball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 19-2 to the Dillon Wildcats.

Eryn Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Dillon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12-1.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley will head out to challenge Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dillon, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wilson at 6:30 p.m. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
