If Appleton East wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Stevens Point, they should've done a better job of containing Sam Kornowski. The Panthers blew past the Patriots, posting a 74-34 win for which the team can thank Kornowski, who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Suehs, who posted six points. He also put up two assists, which were his first of the season.

Stevens Point's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Appleton East, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Stevens Point will square off against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Red Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 71.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Appleton East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-65 loss against Appleton West on the 13th.
