Baseball Recap: Modesto's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Modesto came into Tuesday's match having lost 18 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Delhi Hawks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since February 11th.

Modesto's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colton Morrison, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Morrison a new career-high.

Modesto's victory bumped their record up to 2-19-1. As for Delhi, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Modesto has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Orland on the 23rd. As for Delhi, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Beyer on the 23rd.
