Basketball Game Preview: Albemarle Patriots vs. Fluvanna County Flying Flucos

Albemarle and Fluvanna County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Both will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Albemarle turned things around against Louisa County on Monday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Lions.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County earned a 58-50 victory over Waynesboro on Monday.

Albemarle's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Fluvanna County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Albemarle strolled past Fluvanna County when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 67-53. Will Albemarle repeat their success, or does Fluvanna County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
