Basketball Recap: Emanuel County Institute Comes Up Short

Emanuel County Institute lost against Bryan County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bryan County Redskins. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Redskins are ranked 112th).

Emanuel County Institute's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Bryan County, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emanuel County Institute will welcome Portal at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bryan County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jenkins County at 6:00 p.m.
