Softball Recap: Cape Henry Collegiate's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Cape Henry Collegiate finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elizabeth Seton. The loss was the Dolphins' first of the season.

Sydney Larkin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Cape Henry Collegiate saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Burke, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Another was Kendall Isenberg, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cape Henry Collegiate fell to 3-1. As for Elizabeth Seton, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Cape Henry Collegiate will challenge Pallotti at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabeth Seton, they will venture away from home to square off against Bishop O'Connell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
