Tulia lost against Abernathy last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tulia Hornets took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abernathy Antelopes.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julius Johnson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nic Carrasco, who went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Tulia's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Abernathy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.
Tulia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-51 defeat against Morton on the 28th. As for Abernathy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-45 loss against Slaton on the 27th.
