The Van Buren Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 61-51 to Bakersfield. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Van Buren of the 44-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2021.

Bakersfield was led to victory by Jessie Keith and Keely Stevens. Keith scored 21 points, while Stevens scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Smith, who scored 11 points.
