Basketball Recap: Vista del Lago Takes a Loss

Vista del Lago lost against Ponderosa back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vista del Lago Eagles took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponderosa Bruins. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angel Flores was a one-man wrecking crew for Ponderosa as he went 7-for-13 to rack up 21 points and three steals. What's more, Flores also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Travis Bays, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Vista del Lago now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Ponderosa, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-21.

Looking ahead, Vista del Lago will face off against Bella Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vista del Lago is facing Bella Vista at the right time seeing as Bella Vista is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ponderosa, they will square off against Inderkum at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Inderkum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 19 matchups.
