Basketball Recap: Saddleback Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

If Magnolia wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Saddleback, they should've done a better job of containing Christopher Trotter. The Saddleback Roadrunners blew past the Magnolia Sentinels 67-35 on Friday thanks in part to Trotter, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 51 points along with seven boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Saddleback's points.

Saddleback has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Magnolia, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Saddleback does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magnolia, they will square off against Bolsa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolsa Grande has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
