Soccer Game Preview: Clovis West vs. Central East

An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The Clovis West Golden Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Central East Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Clovis West fell victim to Clovis North and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 4-0. The defeat continues a trend for Clovis West in their meetings with Clovis North: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Central East after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Clovis by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Central East have lost by just one goal.

Central East's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-4. As for Clovis West, they now have a losing record of 7-8-2.

Clovis West couldn't quite get it done against Central East when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
