Basketball Recap: Seventy-First Find Success

Seventy-First had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 66-65 victory over the Parris Prep Academy Panthers.

This is the second loss in a row for Parris Prep Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seventy-First is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Hoke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Bucks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Parris Prep Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Gaston Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
