South Laurel entered their tilt with North Laurel on Thursday with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 40-36 W against the North Laurel Jaguars. The 40-point effort marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Laurel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamie Buenaventura, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Aubrey Bundy was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

South Laurel pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
