Baseball Recap: Saint Jo Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Saint Jo's offense. They fell just short of the Bellevue Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Trent Gaston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

Saint Jo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bellevue, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7-1.

While Saint Jo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
