Baseball Recap: Bluffton's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

With a playoff win on the line, Bluffton rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights by a score of 10-5. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Griffin Morgan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Axton Beste was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

With the victory, Bluffton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-10. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 18-10 record.

As of now, neither Bluffton nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
