Football Game Preview: Hun Raiders vs. The St. James Performance Academy Strivers

The Hun Raiders will head out to square off against The St. James Performance Academy Strivers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

The St. James Performance Academy will be up against a hot Hun squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Raiders never let Mt. Zion Prep Academy get on the board and left with a 48-0 victory on Saturday. The Raiders' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three matchups.

Lukas Prock had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 391 yards and six TDs while completing 75.9% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. 84 of Prock's passing yards were hauled in by Brady Scheier, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Hun's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Luke Wafle and Seth Clarke, who racked up four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely The St. James Performance Academy's strategy against Our Lady of Good Counsel on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Strivers blew the Falcons out of the water with a 43-7 final score. Fans of the Strivers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
