Softball Recap: Bangs Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Bangs extended their postseason success on Saturday against Hawley. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Bearcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bangs pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Hawley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season.

Bangs will face off against Forsan on Saturday. The Buffaloes will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. Hawley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
