Softball Recap: West Bladen's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Bladen). They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the East Bladen Eagles on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Knights have posted against the Eagles since March 29, 2021.

Addison Wilcox and Kali Allen did most of the damage at the plate: Wilcox scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Allen scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Jahyrah Priest was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

West Bladen hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Bladen struck out nine times.

The victory was the third in a row for West Bladen, bringing their record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Bladen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

West Bladen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against St. Pauls on the 25th. As for East Bladen, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Pender on the 25th.
