Baseball Game Preview: Winn Mavericks vs. Harlandale Indians

The Winn Mavericks will head out on the road to face off against the Harlandale Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winn's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Harlandale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Winn came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to MacArthur. The Mavericks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Harlandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of MacArthur.

Harlandale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Castro, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Winn's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Harlandale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Winn was able to grind out a solid win over Harlandale in their previous matchup back in March, winning 11-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
