Preview: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Roseville Raiders
Roosevelt is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Roseville is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Roosevelt Teddies will take on the Roseville Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Roosevelt posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 57-21 win over Minneapolis South at home. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Minneapolis South is ranked 197th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jayla Bennett was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with five assists and two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wren, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Roseville made easy work of Park on Friday and carried off a 60-35 win.
Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Roseville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
