Softball Game Preview: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons vs. East Forest Bears

The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons will square off against the East Forest Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Allegheny-Clarion Valley has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley lost 16-5 to Moniteau on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lillian Hayden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya Wetzel, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, East Forest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Tuesday. They blew past Kane 9-3.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for East Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Allegheny-Clarion Valley's way against East Forest when the teams last played back in May of 2016, as Allegheny-Clarion Valley made off with a 13-1 win. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
