Baseball Recap: Harlem Comes Up Short

Harlem made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Belvidere North, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Huskies fell just short of the Blue Thunder by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The Huskies' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Harlem's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Belvidere North, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Coming up, Harlem will host Guilford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.54 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Belvidere North, they will venture away from home to square off against Freeport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Thunder will need to watch out since the Pretzels have now posted at least ten runs in their last 13 games.
