Basketball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the George Washington Patriots on Tuesday. The Nighthawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 78-73.

Despite the loss, Northfield still got an impressive performance from Judah Michael, who posted 17 points and three steals. The game was Michael's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jefferson, who earned 12 points.

Jeremiah Trimm was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards for George Washington. Trimm is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jordan Dotson was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for George Washington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Northfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-57 victory against Vista PEAK Prep on the 7th. As for George Washington, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-51 defeat against Rangeview on the 7th.
