Softball Game Preview: Corona Panthers vs. Centennial Huskies

Corona hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. Corona will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

On Tuesday, Corona made easy work of West Valley and carried off a 14-4 win. Considering the Panthers have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Roosevelt on Friday and fell 16-13. The Huskies have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Corona has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Everything went Corona's way against Centennial when the teams last played on April 10th, as Corona made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
