It was a good run, but Westville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Salt Fork Storm by a score of 4-3. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Westville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Atwood, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Lani Gondzur was another, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Westville's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 22-3. As for Salt Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

The timing is sure in the Storm's favor as the team sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Buffaloes have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
