Softball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short

If Palisades was riding high fresh off their 15-7 takedown of Ballantyne Ridge on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pumas came up short against the Ardrey Kell Knights on Thursday, falling 19-2. The Pumas haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Palisades saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Goodrich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Ardrey Kell, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Palisades will host Alexander Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Pumas surely won't give up without a fight. Ardrey Kell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
