Volleyball Recap: Florence Falcons vs. Fort Payne Wildcats
Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Payne Wildcats.
While Florence ultimately came up short, they really made Fort Payne work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21.
Even though they lost, Florence was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.
Florence's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Fort Payne, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-17 record this season.
Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Kate Duncan Smith DAR on the 5th. As for Fort Payne, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Scottsboro at 5:30 p.m.
