Football Game Preview: Okeene Whippets vs. Boise City Wildcats

Okeene is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Boise City is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Whippets will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Okeene's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past Canton to the tune of 59-0. The Whippets' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Boise City against Ringwood on Thursday as the team secured a 56-6 win. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Red Devils are ranked 62nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Okeene's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Boise City, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
