Softball Recap: South Glens Falls Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Glens Falls can now relate to. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Averill Park Warriors on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Ava Kill was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

South Glens Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Averill Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither South Glens Falls nor Averill Park have any future games scheduled.
