Basketball Recap: Rehobeth Comes Up Short

Rehobeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Russell County Warriors at home by a 50-34 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-24 last Tuesday.

Russell County found their leader in sophomore Mckenzie Word, who posted 30 points and six rebounds. The match was Word's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Word, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Rehobeth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Russell County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Rehobeth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-17 loss against Park Crossing on the 17th. Russell County has also already played their next game (against Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
