Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 21-6 to the Firebaugh Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Apaches of the 31-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Firebaugh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Centennial will take on Beverly Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Apaches are facing the Normans at the right time seeing as the Normans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Firebaugh, they will square off against Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Dons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.2 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
