Owatonna typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday New Prague proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Owatonna Huskies by a score of 61-54. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 60-45 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

When it comes to explaining why Owatonna lost, don't look at Ava Olson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points Olson has posted since back in January of 2024. Jersey Coleman was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

New Prague's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Owatonna, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Prague will host Benilde-St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owatonna, they will be playing at home against Albert Lea at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
