Softball Recap: Francis W. Parker Colonels vs. Regina Dominican Panthers

Francis W. Parker had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-6 to make it five. They lost 12-0 to the Regina Dominican Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Thursday.

As for Regina Dominican, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Regina Dominican's part, Addison Volkers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Volkers has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
