Softball Recap: Colonel Crawford Takes a Loss

Colonel Crawford managed to slip by Carey the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 20-12 to the Blue Devils on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Rylie Hoepf stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Arabella Stratton, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Colonel Crawford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Carey, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.

Coming up, Colonel Crawford will head out on the road to challenge Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Carey, they will welcome Margaretta at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
