MAIS AA District 3 recap November 5, 2013

Glenbrook extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AA District 3 this week by beating River Oaks, 36-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Apaches.

Glenbrook moved up to 150 from 179 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Greg Tibbitt's team was able to move up by defeating the Mustangs 36-13.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Apaches' Regan Edwards and Arthur Jones have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Edwards has thrown for 3,540 yards this season, while Jones has 67 catches for 1,103 yards. River Oaks' Drake Porter leads the league in rushing yards with 799.

Glenbrook made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,265 from 8,386. The advance stemmed from a 36-13 victory over Robert Hannah's team last week.
