Baseball Recap: Chico Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Chico ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Pleasant Valley Vikings 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Chico got a great performance from Vinny Boatwright as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. What's more, Boatwright posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matchups.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Neugebauer, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one double.

Chico's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-1. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
